This charming small beach community boasts a number of restaurants, hotels and bed and breakfasts all along a one-mile stretch of beach. The areas main attraction is the fishing pier, which hosts a popular restaurant. There is little need for a car in this enclave since it is within walking distance are several restaurants, a couple of pubs, accommodations and several family-owned beach-style shops. The center of the town is El Mar Drive, the Ocean Drive of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. Of course, you will find your usual joggers and bikers doing their thing along El Mar Drive, but nothing too much since this town is laid-back compared to its neighbors to the South.
